Here at the Strategist UK, we like to think of ourselves as crazy (in the good way) about the stuff we buy, but as much as we’d like to, we can’t try everything. Which is why we have People’s Choice, in which we find the best-reviewed products and single out the most convincing ones. (You can learn more about our rating system and how we pick each item here.)

And whilst we’ve covered kitchen essentials, from rice cookers to knife sets, here, we’ve rounded up the best skillets and pans for use with induction hobs, as praised by the most enthusiastic reviewers on Amazon.

Best-rated overall induction-face frying pan

Tefal Pan with Titanium Insert

The pan is 30cm in diameter and made from titanium, making it particularly durable, according to one reviewer. In fact, one five-star reviewer said they may never buy a non-Tefal pan again after trying this one out. In another review, the owner of a very large induction hob said they had been let down numerous times by brands claiming their products were designed for inductions but this pan was very impressive. Six people commented on how pleasingly heavy it was (including a reviewer with arthritis, who said it was heavy but not too heavy). It also comes with a nonstick coating, meaning users didn’t need to use as much oil when cooking. This pleased one parent who used the pan to make endless amounts of pancakes for her children on Shrove Tuesday. Reviewers noted that this nonstick coating meant it wouldn’t be suitable for the dishwasher — handwashing is best.

Best-rated (less expensive) induction-safe frying pan

Blue Diamond Non-Stick 28 cm Frying Pan

This aluminium pan by Blue Diamond has impressed a lot of reviewers. One commented that they didn’t expect a cheap pan like this to cook a pork chop so evenly, while another said their scrambled eggs had never been as good as when cooked in this pan. Someone even said this was better than their Tefal model. The nonstick pan is 28cm in diameter — which one customer said was perfect for cooking a solo dinner. Reviewers were split on whether the handle heated up too much — some found it uncomfortable to hold when it had been on the hob for a long time.

Best-rated induction-safe skillet (stainless steel)

Eono Frying Pan Stainless Steel

Many cheffy reviewers spoke highly of this Amazon Basics pan, which is less of an all-purpose pan but excellent for specific cooking techniques. According to one customer, it’s excellent for searing meat at high heats and for making sauces, but it shouldn’t be used like a nonstick pan. One five-star review specifically mentioned how comfortable the pan was to use and said bacon, eggs, and fajitas all came out perfectly using this pan. 42 reviewers said it was easy to clean, with the majority agreeing that most grease came off with warm, soapy water (13 reviewers, however, say it’s dishwasher-safe).

Best-rated induction-safe saucepan

Blackmoor 18cm Non-Stick Saucepan and Lid

This 18cm saucepan from Blackmoor was the best-rated saucepan — 79 percent of customers gave it five stars. 88 reviews stated this was the best pan customers had ever bought — with compliments including the heat retention, the nonstick coating, and the value for money. One customer said the pan, which made the best scrambled eggs they have ever eaten, has changed the way they’ve cooked. The finish on the pan, which is a scratch-free speckled coating, was also mentioned by 106 reviewers, who said the pan was stylish and attractive.

Best-rated five-piece induction-safe pan set

Featuring three saucepans and two frying pans, this set by Tefal has 80 percent five-star reviews. It comes with a 14cm milk pan, 16cm and 18cm saucepans (with lids), and 20cm and 24cm frying pans. 90 reviews in total mentioned how great these pans were on induction hobs, including a long-term Tefal customer (and one Le Creuset owner, who said these were almost as good). One four-star review said while they were excellent, the smaller pans were too small for their needs, and said this would be a great set for a single person (or someone at university). And the nonstick capabilities were mentioned in 164 reviews, including one person whose family-favourite honey-ginger pork chops cooked without burning or sticking to the pan.

Best-rated fifteen-piece induction-safe pan set

AmazonBasics 15-Piece Non-Stick Cookware Set

This comprehensive set was the perfect purchase for one homeowner who was moving in by themselves. It includes two frying pans (20cm and 25cm), two saucepans (1.41L, 2.21L) with lids, two casserole pans (2.82L, 4.73L) with lids, and a five-piece utensil set, which includes a soup ladle, slotted spoon, and serving spoon. Another reviewer said this was perfect for them moving into university halls. 14 customers said the set was easy to clean, including one woman whose partner, a professional chef, couldn’t believe these were Amazon Basics pans. The price was also a huge selling point — 52 reviewers said they were impressed at how good value these were.

Best-rated induction-safe casserole dish

Le Creuset’s classic enameled cast-iron casserole dish was the best rated in its category. 90 percent of the reviews were five stars, and though it’s the most expensive item here, reviewers agreed that it was worth the money. One five star review mentioned how versatile it was — being able to cook a loaf of bread or a casserole easily, while another enthusiastic customer said it was so durable that it could probably survive a nuclear blast. The dish can be used in a number of ways, including in an AGA, in the oven, and on an induction hob — and 23 reviewers said it was really easy to clean.

Best-rated induction-safe milk pan

The best-rated milk pan also comes from Le Creuset — and while it’s expensive (or obscene, according to one customer), the results speak for themselves. Many reviewers upgraded to it after their milk pans lost their coating, and said they were impressed at its durability (one reviewer even uses this pan to flatten chicken escalopes). Another said she has cooked caramel, custard, rice pudding, and a veal jus in this pan in one week and it’s handled all her cooking exceptionally. One amateur chef said even when they’d burnt sugar, porridge and acid-based sauce in this pan, it cleaned with minimal effort and didn’t damage the insides. The two lips on opposing sides of the pan were also highlighted in a handful of reviews for making decanting sauces, custards and liquids as easy as possible.

Best-rated induction-safe stockpot

According to reviewers, this 8.5L stockpot is particularly well suited on an induction hob. 29 reviewers highlighted its performance on an induction hob in their review, including a busy host who used it to cook Christmas dinner for 15 people. Another customer called it the most used pot in their kitchen, adding that it fit in the dishwasher easily. This pot was also popular for batch cooking, as 14 customers attested — one said they could make 25 portions of chilli at a time in this large vessel, while another boiled up chicken carcasses to make their grandmother’s chicken soup recipe. 56 reviewers agreed that it was a good-quality stock pot, while 32 said it was simple enough to clean.

Best-rated induction-safe griddle pan

This model by Greenpan measures 28cm in diameter and was highly rated by customers. It was particularly commended for its heat retention despite being a square pan on a round hob (in fact, one customer suggested cooking on a lower temperature for better results). One reviewer also said that the thicker coating meant that achieving the right temperature took a little longer, but it was worth it. Many customers also pointed out how easy it was to clean, as food is typically oiled rather than the pan when griddling food. According to one five-star review, this pan is fine after several rounds in the dishwasher, though many others prefer to use a cloth to keep it clean.
